5-Minute Halloween Stories – 10/15/20

We’re reading Halloween stories all month long! This week we’ll be reading a few stories from a book called “5-Minute Halloween Stories”.

Today’s Craft

Today’s craft is a Paper Bag Monsters!

Supplies

To make this activity, you will need:

  • Paper Bag (*)
  • Markers/Paint
  • Construction Paper (*)
  • Glue

If you picked up a make-and-take craft from the library, all supplies with an * are included.

Directions

  1. Color or paint your paper bag any color you choose. You can do just one side (the side where the bottom flap is) or you can do both sides.
  2. Cut stripes for your monster’s stomach out of construction paper. If you picked up a make-and-take kit from the library this step has already been completed for you.
  3. Cut circles for an eye or multiple eyes out of construction paper. If you picked up a make-and-take kit from the library this step has already been completed for you.
  4. Cut fangs for your monster out of construction paper. If you picked up a make-and-take kit from the library this step has already been completed for you.
  5. Cut a tongue for your monster out of construction paper. If you picked up a make-and-take kit from the library this step has already been completed for you.
  6. Cut horns for your monster out of construction paper. If you picked up a make-and-take kit from the library this step has already been completed for you.
  7. Glue the stripes to the bag anywhere below the flap at the top.
  8. Glue the tongue and fangs under the flap to make the monster’s mouth.
  9. Glue the horns to the back side of the top of the bag.
  10. Glue the eye or eyes to the front part of the flap.
  11. Use a marker to put the finishing touches on your monster.
